Wisdom
"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him." Eph. 1:17.
Needed: Believers Filled with Wisdom
Ask, Believe, Receive.
We all live in challenging times. To succeed with our gifts and calling, wisdom [knowledge, skill and insight, judgment, sense, action with discernment] is a primary necessity. But we have a good reason to be confident. Our heavenly Father, through Messiah Yeshua, has promised to amply provide it for us.
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all man liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.
"But let him ask in faith..." (James 1:5-6).
The true wisdom that disciples of Messiah Yeshua need is from above, and is not a product of some self-improvement culture or lifestyle. It is a gift from God (YHVH) and is perfect in all its characteristics and applications. Wisdom from above, imparted by the Word and Spirit, is pure. It is holy, clean, unsullied by worldly values.
Divine wisdom leads a person to keep himself unspotted from all uncleanness of heart and mind. Everyone who lives a selfish, sensual, and openly sinful life reveals himself as under the spell of this world system and devoid of heavenly wisdom.
The wisdom imparted by our eternal God is peaceable and leads people away from conflict, and from all dissension. It is selfless and works to end animosity.
Wisdom from above is also gentle, courteous, kind. A man of wisdom thinks more of his responsibilities and duties than of his rights.
This wisdom of the Spirit is that which must prevail in the souls of Believers in the times ahead in order for all Israel is to be restored. God's wisdom is without variance. It is steady and persistent. The wisdom we ask for and receive from Him is without hypocrisy; it is sincere, never halting under adversity. And it is promised for you...if you believe. The currency of the Kingdom of God is faith.
The result/fruit of this divine wisdom is peace and a harvest of righteousness which enables us to confidently declare and enforce His edict--that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Indeed, His wisdom will cause us to be blessed in the city and in the land. It causes Believers to emerge as the head and not the tail, to raise children that become mighty in the earth, and to bless our companions and prevail over our enemies.
As we Believers return to our Hebraic heritage, and seek to bless Israel and Judah, let us all pray for YHVH's available and necessary wisdom that transfigures our hearts, minds, and wills. His holy grace and divine enablements will fill and assist us in our last-days endeavors, and His anointing will become our mantle. Thus we will become the needed equipped peacemakers for His Kingdom.
Remember, "He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Heb. 11:6).
Our Father yearns to daily breathe His wisdom, ideas, astuteness, reason, knowledge, and faith into us so that we can more clearly perceive and understand His will, and become sensitive to and led by His Holy Spirit.
The Walk of Wisdom.
Become Exceptional !
Messianic Israelite truth is affirmed by YHVH's living power. When a person turns to Yeshua Messiah in faith, the Holy Spirit enters in and takes possession of that person's spiritual nature. Messiah Yeshua, Who dwells in the convert's heart, then begins to transform and guide the believer by the divine energy of His Spirit and the Word of God, favorably affecting his personal and social life. As holy wisdom begins to leaven the new believer's soul, the drive of selfishness wanes, and begins to yield to the Spirit-imparted desire for service. Though it is not always easy, service is the walk of wisdom. Service was the lifestyle of Yeshua. Service breaks the bondages of self-absorption and augments/magnifies the quality--condition, character, and caliber--of one's life.
Walking in divine wisdom will be challenging and we should expect resistance to rise up from different quarters. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (the three universal self-centered human disorders/ characteristics that are often energized and manipulated by powers of darkness) will continually resist all divinely inspired and honorable motives and intentions. But a life submitted to holy wisdom will overcome temptation, bear fruit, and receive the rich dividends of YHVH's promised blessings. Therefore, as disciples of Yeshua, our lives must not be aimless or selfish. This would indeed be lamentable. These unprofitable orientations produce only unhappiness and loss. Instead, we are redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, and gloriously freed to make the conscious and deliberate choice that our lives be a service to our Redeemer, Master Yeshua.
Wisdom matures in disciples as they walk in obedience to the commands of Yeshua, and faith, hope, love, and joy are its life enhancing fruit. Romans 12:1-2 reads, "I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service [of worship]. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove [discern] what is the will of God, that which is good and acceptable, and perfect."
Our bodies are "members of Messiah" and "temples of the Holy Spirit", sanctified and filled with Yeshua's life and power to be consecrated to His service in word and deed. As we become doers of His Word, our minds are renewed. We discover arising with us ethical understanding, thinking power, intelligence, and the discernment to know the will of YHVH with the power and desire to do it.
Wisdom, once imparted, is developed and comes into full bloom through the exercise of keeping the commandments of Yeshua, as set forth in the remainder of Romans 12, for instance. Read the entire chapter, and then follow its wisdom. The prophet Jeremiah provides for us a great incentive for so doing. In 7:23 he writes, under the power of the Spirit: "But this is what I commanded them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you will be my people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you."
This is wisdom!
When you read the Word this week, expect to receive a rhema. When you pray, expect to hear His voice, and follow His leading. Ask for your daily portion of wisdom, and praise Him for His faithfulness. Press forward to new intimacy with Yeshua. Be filled with the Holy Spirit...and wisdom.
